About the event
Registration is now open for the 100 Days Mission Report Launch and IPPS Transition Event, which will take place on Wednesday 3 February 2027 in London and online.
In 2021, leaders across the G7 and G20 endorsed the 100 Days Mission (100DM): a shared ambition to make safe, effective and accessible diagnostics, therapeutics and vaccines available within 100 days of identifying a pandemic threat. Since then, the Mission has helped focus international attention on the investments, capabilities and partnerships needed to strengthen pandemic preparedness.
In 2026, the 100-day goal was reflected for the first time in a United Nations political declaration, endorsed by 153 Member States. This milestone signals growing global commitment to the ambition and creates new opportunities to translate political support into practical implementation.
Supported by the International Pandemic Preparedness Secretariat (IPPS), governments, international organisations, industry, academia, philanthropy and civil society have worked together to develop roadmaps, identify priorities and accelerate implementation towards the 100-day ambition.
As IPPS reaches the conclusion of its mandate on 1st March 2027, the Secretariat will publish its final 100 Days Mission Implementation Report. The report will provide a comprehensive assessment of recent progress towards the Mission, highlight remaining barriers and identify priorities for the years ahead, and roadmaps towards the 100DM.
The event will serve both as the launch of the final report and as a milestone in the evolution of the 100 Days Mission. Bringing together senior leaders and partners from across the preparedness ecosystem, it will offer an opportunity to reflect on progress since 2021, consider lessons learned and identify priorities for the next phase of implementation.
As IPPS concludes its mandate, the event will also demonstrate how the Mission is transitioning from Secretariat stewardship to broader global ownership, including implementation at national and regional level. It will showcase the organisations, partnerships and commitments that will carry forward the ambition and help sustain momentum towards faster and more equitable pandemic response capabilities in the years ahead.
