IPPS to host launch event for third annual implementation report

On Wednesday the 24th of January 2024, the IPPS will host a launch event to explore the findings of the third 100 Days Mission annual implementation report. This report is a ‘pulse check’ for how close the world is to achieving the 100 Days Mission, which outlines the progress made in 2023, the barriers to action, and opportunities to overcome them, including leveraging investments that are complementary to tackling other global health issues.

This event will:

1. Publicly launch the third implementation report for the 100 Days Mission, sharing its key findings and areas for action in 2024;

2. Explore and explain how the 100 Days Mission can be implemented at the global, regional and national level;

3. Convene partners from all sectors for practical discussions on implementing proposed 2024 priorities

Description:
This session features members of the 100DM STEG, as well as key implementation partners. It sets out the main findings from the 2023 100 Days Mission Annual Report, including top line messages from the new 100 Days Mission Scorecard and the 100DM Therapeutics Roadmap. The session will also set out the 100DM priorities for 2024, including concrete actions needed to push these elements forwards.

What does implementing the 100 Days Mission look like in practice? This second session will hear from key implementing partners across the DTV value chain to understand what is already being done to progress closer towards this goal. It will delve into what challenges partners are facing and where the G7, G20 and other actors can take specific actions to ensure success.

Description:
The third session of this event looks at what it will take to implement the 100DM at the national, regional and global level. The panel will explore how effective cross-sectoral public-private partnerships can be facilitated; the ways in which regional governance can bridge the gap between national and global efforts; and countries’ roles in early-stage R&D and technological advancements.
